This scoping review explores how behavior change techniques (BCTs) and theories are used in mobile health just-in-time adaptive interventions to promote physical activity.
They found that:
1 - Most common BCTs: prompts/cues, goal-setting, and feedback
2 - Most used theories: self-determination & social cognitive theory
3 - More clarity is needed on what actually drives behaviour change
